Going out ’fits so comfy you can wear ’em at home

NGL, you can even sleep in it

It’s a bummer you can’t publicly flaunt your outfits these days for obvious reasons (hey, it’s best to stay safe). But this shouldn’t stop you from dressing up at home—especially when science has proven that it can improve your cognitive style, productivity and mood.

Here lies the dilemma: You’re worried it wouldn’t be too comfy to wear your usual going out ’fits at home. You know what they say: never style at the cost of comfort. But we got you, sweetie. Here are some outfit recos that you can wear when you’re finally allowed to go out for leisure,  but are as comfortable as your loose shirt and sweatpants (a win-win situation).

Water repellent jumpsuit

Notch Label knee-length jumpsuit with waist-hugging belt. Available at Bayo

NGL, this jumpsuit has the full potential to put your PJs to shame. You can wear it anywhere: at home hanging out on the couch, in a virtual client meeting, or when you need to run errands. Plus, we’re giving extra points as you can also wear it for casual nights out (whenever TF we’re allowed to do that again).

It has long sleeves perfect for the rainy weather, two side-pockets for when you want to sneak some snacks from the kitchen to your room, and a waist-hugging belt to keep it on trend. And have we mentioned it’s water repellent?

Not too fond of long sleeves? Bayo got you, sis. The brand also has a sleeveless jumpsuit that looks too cozy you’ll be tempted to wear it every day. (Short-sleeved jumpsuits are also available, in case you’re wondering.)

For more good-ish news: Bayo’s clothes undergo double sanitation using FDA-approved Sanyx fabric disinfectant and UVC disinfection process.

Co-ords

Striped blazer and shorts with front pockets. Available at Folded & Hung

Co-ords provide the same comfort as onesies (a.k.a jumpsuits). They make the perfect sleepwear as much as they do party wear. The edge? They are two-piece outfits, which means you have a little more room for styling as they can be worn as separates.

Use the set as is if you plan to sleep in this weekend or go on a grocery run. But if you’re going to an intimate reunion with your extended family, you might want to pair the top half of your co-ord set with a more formal bottom—say, a skin-fit maxi skirt.

Besides casual co-ords, Folded & Hung also has T-shirt dresses, statement shirts and hoodies, which are all pieces of clothing you can wear in and out of your home.

Jumper dress

Pinafore dress denim lace roset. Available at Genevieve Gozum

Whether you call it a jumper dress, pinafore, pinny (if you’re British), overalls or apron dress, you’d never run out of styling options when it comes to this dress. You can literally wear anything under it—from casual camisoles to formal blouses.

It can adjust its vibe depending on when and where you plan to use it. So you’re going to a backyard movie night with your friends? Wear an oversized shirt under to exude comfort and coziness. To an al fresco dinner with your fam? Pair it with a turtleneck top or a cropped button-down shirt. WBK, the A in pinafore stands for adaptable. By the way, Genevieve Gozum has a couple other designs if you want to check them out.
