Big news, Blinks: Lisa of Blackpink is MAC’s newest global ambassador

Make some noise: Lisa is MAC’s first female K-Pop idol to be appointed to the role

If there’s one thing MAC and Blackpink’s Lisa have in common, it’s being at the forefront of their respective industries. So imagine our excitement when MAC dropped a teaser of someone’s back that looked a lot like everyone’s favorite girl at the moment.

Ah, saying that it made noise on social media would be an understatement—Twitter was in shambles that day. Blinks (Blackpink’s fandom) and Lilies (Lisa’s fandom) were all convinced it was Lisa. Turns out her fans know what’s up. The brand announced that she was MAC’s first female K-Pop idol to be appointed as MAC’s global brand ambassador.

Lisa was wearing MAC’s Mull It Over Powder Kiss lipstick in her first official photo as a global brand ambassador.

She’s undeniably one of the most in-demand personalities these days. So what convinced her to join the MAC Cosmetics family? “I’m a huge fan of MAC and have been a loyal user for a long time, so it’s really a dream come true to have the opportunity to serve as an ambassador for the brand. […] It’s an honor to partner with a brand with such an incredible heritage and unrivaled expertise in [the] makeup industry,” said Lisa.

The first MAC product Lisa owned was a lip product. “I’m still a huge fan of MAC’s lip products and love playing around with the countless number of colors and textures to choose from to help perfect my look,” the K-pop idol said.

Just like most girls, Lisa was introduced to makeup and fashion as a child. But she officially fell in love with makeup right after her debut. “When we release a new album or when I’m on set for a magazine, I enjoy suggesting a makeup look that I’ve always wanted to try,” she added.

Even better news: MAC Cosmetics PH is conducting a contest for Lisa lovers out there. Recreate your favorite look from Lisa (we know every look is fave-worthy, but choose just one for the love of God) and get a chance to win P10,000 worth of MAC products.
