Pizza is the superior pandemic food—here’s why

To quote our lord and savior Lady Gaga: “Brilliant, incredible, amazing, showstopping, spectacular”

With quarantine keeping many of us at home, we’ve turned to delivery apps for our food and other necessities. Our household doesn’t order take-out often, but when we do, our go-to is a box (or two) of pizza.

Here’s the tea: Pizza will never fail you and your housemates. You can order it at any time of the day and it’s filling—everyone’s happy. Here are more reasons why pizza is the superior pandemic meal:

There are flavors for everyone

Jalapeño Pizza from Domino’s

Whether you’re a meat lover or prefer more greens, there’s bound to be a pizza flavor for you. But if you’re into spicy stuff, go for Domino’s Jalapeño pizza.

It stops indecision

New York’s Finest from Yellow Cab

I can’t count how many times I’ve heard people say “Kahit ano” when asked about what they want to eat. Pizza having so many flavor options is a good problem to have, but it can make anyone indecisive. The good news is that some places serve pizza with every topping you’re looking for. New York’s Finest from Yellow Cab has both meat (Italian sausage, ham, pepperoni, bacon and ground beef) and veggies (olives, mushrooms, onions, green and red bell peppers) in one. That way, you don’t have to ponder over which topping you want to try for the day.

For sharing (always)

Chicken ‘N’ Mojos from Shakey’s

Pizza is meant to be shared with everyone you live with. For more food options to go with your pizza, Shakey’s has Chicken ‘N’ Mojos buddy (good for 5 people), family (good for 7 people) and party (good for 12 people) packs.

Still great as leftovers

Good news: If you have leftover pizza, you can have it for days (depending on how many slices you eat in a day). Just place a slice or two in an oven toaster and it’ll still taste delicious. Unless you like to eat cold pizza, then I guess that works too.
