While this restaurant opened over a year ago, the vibe it exudes is one of freshness and authenticity. The first smoothie bowl bar in the Metro is a sure winner.

3. Yayoi

Our love for Japanese cuisine knows no boundaries, and Yayoi takes things a step further. With more than 500 branches worldwide, we’re just thankful it landed in our shores.

Why it’s a must-try: It’s named the Number 1 Teishoku restaurant for a reason. The various set meals are numerous, so you could have a little bit of everything of Japan’s delectable fares in one tray. Yayoi even has a state-of-the-art ordering system that even has booths dedicated for solo diners to enjoy.

Why it’s a must-try: This is the place to be for those get-togethers with family and friends, all while relishing on the vastness of its menu highlighting the history of our cuisine. Chef Tatung makes sure to also pay homage to regional dishes to reacquaint our taste buds with authentic Filipino food.

Bonus: The Dessert Museum

While technically not a restaurant, it’s definitely a haven that foodies are bound to enjoy. Set to open on February 13, 2018 at S Maison, your sweet tooth is bound for the ride of its life.

Why it’s a must try: If Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory came to life, we have no doubt in our minds that this would be it. Imagine eight themed rooms which also features fun facts about your fave desserts. Then, if that’s not enough, there’s the meticulously handcrafted artisanal sweets for tasting. Need we say more?
